CentraCare and Carris Health care givers have been working around the clock for more than 20 months to care for you, your families and friends during COVID. We are committed to caring for every Minnesotan who needs us, and nothing will prevent us from doing so – even during these never-seen-before times.

The challenge of providing this level of care is that our hospital beds are often full. ERs in all of our hospitals are packed. And our clinical teams are exhausted. Early in the pandemic, our community stepped up in amazing ways to helps us. We ask that you again join us in fighting this pandemic together.

Carris Health Foundation - Rice

It All Began With a Gift

Rice Memorial Hospital was built in 1937 with a generous trust gift to the city of Willmar from Colonel Cushman Rice in memory of his parents, Lieutenant Governor Albert and Mrs. Sophia Rice.

Carris Health Foundation (Formerly Rice Health Foundation established in 1986) is a non-profit charitable organization raising philanthropic support to provide quality local health care services.

Building on the generosity and tradition of caring by the Rice family, contributions from donors allow Carris Health Foundation to assist Carris Health meet community health needs, enhance patient care services and provide health and wellness education.

There is community pride in having a healing environment, professional and expert staff, and provider groups dedicated to excellent care to patients and their families. Gifts to the Foundation are investments in programs, services, and amenities that make your health and wellness experience the best that it can be.

Carris Health Foundation - Redwood

Redwood Area Hospital Foundation was established in 2001 as a subsidiary of the Redwood Area Community Foundation for the sole purpose of benefiting Redwood Hospital which was owned and operated by the City of Redwood Falls.

Individuals who helped organize the foundation and became the first Board of Directors for the Redwood Hospital Foundation in 2001 were: Wayne Junker, Lowell Peterson, Pete Smith, Dave Reitter, Daphne Davis and James Schulte.

Redwood Area Hospital Foundation became Carris Health Foundation - Redwood beginning November 1, 2020. The board unanimously voted to integrate with Carris Health Foundation retaining the current staff, and transitioning board members to a regional development committee of Carris Health Foundation.
