Dear Friends and Neighbors,

CentraCare and Carris Health care givers have been working around the clock for more than 20 months to care for you, your families and friends during COVID. We are committed to caring for every Minnesotan who needs us, and nothing will prevent us from doing so – even during these never-seen-before times.

The challenge of providing this level of care is that our hospital beds are often full. ERs in all of our hospitals are packed. And our clinical teams are exhausted. Early in the pandemic, our community stepped up in amazing ways to helps us. We ask that you again join us in fighting this pandemic together.

How can you help?

  • Please get your COVID vaccines and booster shots. They are proven safe and effective in reducing COVID illness, keeping people out of the hospital, and preventing death.
  • If your situation is not an emergency, please use other care options, including:
  • If this is a medical emergency, call 9-1-1, or visit the ER.

Together, we can do this. Thank you for your support.

Video Visits Offered for Patients with Chronic Conditions

To ensure that patients with chronic conditions and behavioral health get the care they need during the COVID-19 outbreak, Carris Health and CentraCare are now offering video visits.

This action benefits patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease or cancer, as well as behavioral health patients. Patients with current appointments will be contacted to change their in-person appointments to video visits.

“Patients with chronic conditions may also be at a higher risk for COVID-19. With a video visit, we can help patients manage their condition in the safest way possible, by staying at home," said George Morris, MD, Vice President of Performance Excellence for CentraCare.

Patients will continue to meet with their regular provider. Video visits are available to patients of most Carris Health and CentraCare locations.

Carris Health and CentraCare have dedicated additional staff to help patients learn how to use the technology. At this time, video visits are being scheduled for patients with chronic or behavioral health conditions who need to be seen in the next few weeks.
