Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I access the Carris Health eVisit App?

It's quick and easy! Download the app from the Apple App store or Google Play and set up your personal profile. Your profile will contain information that will give the reviewing physician a customized view of current medications, allergies, immunizations, past procedures, existing conditions, and family history to assist with accurate diagnosis and safely prescribing medications. You can also log into the desktop version to complete your profile or to complete an eVisit assessment.

  • Who can use the Carris Health eVisit App?

The app is recommended for ages 2 to 65. Parents and guardians who would like to utilize the app for their dependents must create an eVisit account and add their dependents to their account. You do not have to be a Carris Health patient to use the Carris Health eVisit App.

  • When can I use the Carris Health eVisit App?

You can access the Carris Health eVisit App 24 hours a day. A Carris Health participating physician will return your treatment plan within 60 minutes if you submit an assessment between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. Assessments that are completed after 8:00 p.m., will be answered immediately the following morning.

  • What types of conditions do you diagnose and treat?

Carris Health’s eVisit Urgent Care solution treats common conditions like cold/sinus infections, bladder infections, earaches, pink eye, etc. It is designed to treat conditions you would be most likely to visit urgent care for but can easily be taken care of in the comfort of your own home. The Dermatology - Acne Care can address your acne-related skin concerns.

  • What is included in the fee?

The eVisit Urgent Care $35 visit fee and the Dermatology - Acne Care $69 visit fee includes a thorough assessment of the symptoms you are experiencing along with a diagnosis, recommendations, and prescription(s) sent to your local pharmacy if necessary. If the physician reviewing prescribes a medication to treat your symptoms, the prescription will be sent to the preferred pharmacy you selected when you set up your profile. The cost of your prescription is not included in the assessment fee. Condition's that are not appropriate for an eVisit solution will be triaged appropriately and you will not be charged for the assessment. At this time, Carris Health eVisit does not accept insurance and is not able to make claims on your behalf.

  • Is using an eClinic App safe and effective?

Our physicians have selected only conditions that have been determined to be safe for online care. The questions within the assessment are some of the same questions a doctor would ask in an actual face to face office visit. For certain conditions, the app will allow you to upload a picture, so the reviewing physician has a real time view of the condition you are seeking treatment for. All diagnosis is made by a board-certified physician.
