Dear Friends and Neighbors,

CentraCare and Carris Health care givers have been working around the clock for more than 20 months to care for you, your families and friends during COVID. We are committed to caring for every Minnesotan who needs us, and nothing will prevent us from doing so – even during these never-seen-before times.

The challenge of providing this level of care is that our hospital beds are often full. ERs in all of our hospitals are packed. And our clinical teams are exhausted. Early in the pandemic, our community stepped up in amazing ways to helps us. We ask that you again join us in fighting this pandemic together.

How can you help?

  • Please get your COVID vaccines and booster shots. They are proven safe and effective in reducing COVID illness, keeping people out of the hospital, and preventing death.
  • If your situation is not an emergency, please use other care options, including:
  • If this is a medical emergency, call 9-1-1, or visit the ER.

Together, we can do this. Thank you for your support.

Virtual Grief Support Group of Loss of Parent

Event Description

Grief is a normal response to the loss of someone you care about. Losing a parent is one of the most difficult losses many of us will face – and losing a parent as an adult child has its own set of complexities. Sharing your feelings and fears in a supportive, caring environment may help ease the process of grief. With the physical distancing in place due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, you may feel even more isolated in your grief.

Carris Health - Rice Hospice will be offering a virtual Grief Support Group for adult children with a death of a parent. We understand this format is different from being with others physically, but this could be very helpful connecting with other bereaved persons.

If you are interested in the Virtual Grief group, fill out the RSVP online form. For those that do not have internet or video service you may call in. Preference is being present through video. Katherine.tweten@carrishealth.com will send you an email of how to join into the group. Expect to receive this email by September 14, 2020. Further instructions will be provided in the email and during our sessions. If you have questions, please call Carris Health - Rice Hospice 320-231-4450.

With completing, the RSVP and providing you email address you are consenting to be a part of this group.
