Dear Friends and Neighbors,

CentraCare and Carris Health care givers have been working around the clock for more than 20 months to care for you, your families and friends during COVID. We are committed to caring for every Minnesotan who needs us, and nothing will prevent us from doing so – even during these never-seen-before times.

The challenge of providing this level of care is that our hospital beds are often full. ERs in all of our hospitals are packed. And our clinical teams are exhausted. Early in the pandemic, our community stepped up in amazing ways to helps us. We ask that you again join us in fighting this pandemic together.

How can you help?

  • Please get your COVID vaccines and booster shots. They are proven safe and effective in reducing COVID illness, keeping people out of the hospital, and preventing death.
  • If your situation is not an emergency, please use other care options, including:
  • If this is a medical emergency, call 9-1-1, or visit the ER.

Together, we can do this. Thank you for your support.

Pediatric In-Person Well-Child Visits Resume at Carris Health

In-person visits for pediatric patients at Carris Health will resume for all ages, on June 23. This includes well-child exams, sports physicals and immunization appointments.

“The coronavirus pandemic has resulted in delayed care for many of our patients – for both routine wellness visits and acute and chronic health problems," said KerriAnn Mahon, MD, Carris Health Pediatrician. "We want our patients and families to know that our clinics are safe and we’re here to provide high-quality care for children who need it. We urge families not to put off important medical visits."

Patients who are due for routine care will be contacted. You can also call your clinic directly to schedule an appointment with your provider or send a message via MyChart.

If you don't feel comfortable coming into the clinic, Carris Health offers video visits so patients and families can receive care from the comfort of home. We also offer curbside, drive-up vaccine services as an option for children over the age of three who are due for immunizations. The child will be given their vaccine(s) in their vehicle without needing to come into the clinic.

Contact your Carris Health clinic to ask if an in-person doctor’s visit, a video visit, or curbside vaccination appointment is best for your child’s situation.
