UCare held its ninth annual “A Salute to Excellence!” event Thursday evening, October 25, to recognize 13 clinics and care systems with top results in 2017 Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures. Carris Health was recognized for improving the health of UCare members enrolled in Special Needs BasicCare plans.
A Salute to Excellence! at the University of Minnesota’s McNamara Alumni Center included a reception, dinner and awards program. In addition, leaders from Children’s Minnesota and Fairview Clinics presented innovative approaches to closing health gaps for patients facing socio-economic challenges.
Mark Traynor, President and CEO, UCare, and Dr. Julia Joseph-Di Caprio, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, UCare, presented guests with UCare Excellence in Health Care awards for their quality results. “We know how hard our provider partners work throughout the year to help UCare members enjoy the best health for their lives. This evening of celebration is so important for recognizing Carris Health’s excellent work and dedication,” said Traynor at the event. “We value each provider and the power of the partnerships we have forged to support UCare members across Minnesota.”
